DJ Kawon has been having a good year producing solid projects starting with “The Heat Tape” that was released in January, “A Beacon in The Dark” with Len-Dor in March, “The Healing Tape” in June with RA K7NG and now a collaborative effort titled “The Requiem” featuring RA K7NG & Len-Dor. Assembling his super team, Kawon produced 6 tracks and the intro of this dark, grimy soundscape with the lyrics to match. Len-Dor’s pen game remains sharp on tracks like his solo cut “28 Days Later” and RA K7NG just attacks the beat on his solo “What a Chemistry”. “No Limits”, “Clean it Up”, and “Rain” are the collective tracks that both MCs showcase their talent at a high level. The Requiem is a solid effort by this trio that should be in your personal collection.
